Africa-Press – Cape verde. More than a hundred couples from the parisheashes of the Pastoral Region Fogo/Brava gather from today, in the city of São Filipe, in an assembly of families, called “2022 Vicariate Family Forum”.
The assembly, which has 15 houses of the parishes of Sao Joao Baptista and Nossa Senhora do Monte (Brava), Nossa Senhora da Ajuda, Santa Catarina, Nossa Senhora de Fatima, São Lourenco and Nossa Senhora da Conceição, Island of Fogo, according to the Vicariate head of the family, Father Egidio Santos, aims to reflect and discuss issues that affect and constrain the families.
According to him, the family is now an institution “in crisis”, although everyone recognizes its importance in the creation of a “healthy society”, noting that the assembly will be a moment of prayer, conviviality and encouragement to have families “more aware” of their faith and their “indispensable role in society”.
The 2022 Vicariate Family Forum takes place on the premises of the Casa Materna, and the opening is scheduled for 6:00 PM today.
