Africa-Press – Cape verde. Rosariense from Ribeira Grande, Santo Antão, and Palmeira from Sal Island, won the super cup for their respective sporting regions this weekend. Rosariense won against Foguetões do Paul, while Palmeira got the better of Sport Club Verdun.
Rosariense, champion of the last edition of the Regional de Santo Antão Norte, 2021/22, won the Supertaça Nenê, at Estádio João Serra, in Ponta do Sol, Ribeira Grande, by beating Foguetões do Paul, on penalties by 4-3 .
The ribeira-grandense team won on penalties since not even extra time could undo the 2-2 tie, registered during regular time, in which the goals were scored by Riva and Rui for the Foguetões and by Carlos Alinho and Ady for the Rosariense.
In turn, Grupo Desportivo Palmeira, Regional champion of the island of Sal, 2021/22, won the Super Cup of Sal, in honor of Sança Gomes, by defeating Sport Club Verdun, a team from the Pedra de Lume area, by 0- 3.
Palmeira’s goals, two by Handrick and one by Micka, were all scored in the second half of the game.
