Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Municipal Stadium “25 de Julho”, in Pedra Badejo City, the Capital of Santa (in Santiago Norte), was chosen by the Cabo Verdean Football Federation (FCF), to host the “Final-Four” of this edition of the Cape Verde Cup in Senior Men’s Football.

The infrastructure was (re)inaugurated on Thursday, 28 – reports Inforpress -, after having been contemplated with “a profound intervention”, marked by the construction of benches, changing room and exterior arrangements, a new and modern lawn, certified and financed by FIFA (International Football Federation), through the “Forward” Program.

The “Final-Four” of the Cape Verde Cup, to be played in August, will place the four semi-finalists of the 2021/22 Edition of the Competition, for the dispute of the Semi-Finals and Final games of this “Queen of Cabo Verdean Football”, that is, the second most important event after the National Championship.

Saturday’s clashes

The Cabo Verde Cup, whose Second Day was postponed last week, due to difficulties in Air and Sea connections for the transport of the various caravans, will resume this Saturday, July 30th, with Travadores da Praia to receive Morabeza da Brava, at Estádio da Várzea (in the Capital City), in a staggered match for 16:00.

In the other match of this day, Sal-Rei (from Boa Vista) welcomes Figueirense (from Maio), in a game also scheduled for 16:00, at the Municipal “Aquiles d’Oliveira”, in the City of Sal-Rei.

The Travadores eliminated Esperança (from Calheta) in the Municipality of Tarrafal (North Santiago), while Morabeza (from Brava) left Botafogo (from Fogo Island) along the way.
