Africa-Press – Cape verde. The seventh edition of the Stopira League, U-19, kicks off on June 3 in the sport fields of Sucupira and Tira-Chapéu and will honor the late head of the Kriolinhos School, Marcos Borges, in a sign “of recognition for his work”.
The edition and 2022 of the Stopira League, according to the mentor of the event, Barrusco, is intended for athletes born from 2001 and 2002, in the format of three groups of four teams each, in which they move to the second stage, that is, to the semi-finals, the winners of each group plus the second best ranked.
The group stage will be played in the sport fields of Achada de Santo António, but known as Campo Sucupira, and Tira-Chapéu, with the semi-final and final scheduled for the Luís da Silva Bastos Stadium, popularly known as Estádio da Várzea.
According to the schedule, the clubs of Achada Grande, Esperança, Tira-Chapéu and Tigerfoot constitute Group A, Flor Jovem, Escola Tropa, EFIP and FSOD are in Group B, while Krilolinhos, Fontão, São Filipe and TMT share Group C.
