The corn festival, which has been organized annually since 2009, at the Poilão dam, this year will once again be held at the São Lourenço dos Órgãos municipal market, and maintains the corn and roast pork component as the main focus.

Parallel to this event, the program also includes a set of cultural and recreational activities, an event organized by the Municipal Council of São Lourenço dos Órgãos with local partners.

Also, in the northern region, made up of six municipalities, the Santa Cruz City Council has scheduled a gastronomic fair for the same day, where it is committed to presenting different dish options to the public, from the traditional to the more daring.

In addition to the gastronomic fair, the municipality scheduled a range of activities in parallel.

Along the same path, the Tarrafal City Council also has its gastronomic fair “purba midju” scheduled, which is now in its 3rd edition, which will take place on Rua d ́Horta in Chão Bom.

Until now, these are the three municipalities in the interior of Santiago that have commented on the activities of November 1st, which are normally corn-based gastronomic activities and cultural activities.
