Government bets on the resumption of TACV and on the launch of the Sal air hub – Minister

Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Minister of Tourism and Transport, Carlos Santos, said this Thursday that the Government is working with potential partners to re-associate the growth and recovery of the TACV company with the launch of the Sal air platform.

Carlos Santos made this revelation during the hearing at the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (CPI) of TACV, which served to debate issues related to domestic and international air transport, having considered that saving the flag company allied to the aerial platform appears as two important assets in the country’s development.

The executive, admitted, insists on bringing in a partner to return to the 2019 strategy, that is, the reprivatization of Transportes Aéreos de Cabo Verde (TACV) in order to bring the market, claiming that the company and the country alone cannot go anywhere.

In this regard, Carlos Santos highlighted that contacts are being made so that companies on the West African coast, such as Air Senegal and Air Côte d’Ivoire, create a stopover in Cape Verde, within the scope of designing an alliance to put the flag company back to grow in a sustainable way.
