Africa-Press – Cape verde. The National Director of Planning of the Ministry of Finance challenged on Tuesday the INE to value more administrative sources in the production of statistics and to create new delegated bodies in the framework of the implementation of the new statistical agenda.
This challenge was launched by Gilson Pina at the opening of the launch Seminar on the process for preparing the new National Strategy for Statistical Development (ENDE 2022-2026).
“Today more than ever, it is clear that the ENDE 2022-2026 should especially value the administrative sources for the production of official statistics, but also create new Delegated Bodies of the INE (Odine) particularly in the fields of public finance, tourism and transport, spatial planning, housing and infrastructure,” he said.
Gilson Pina stressed that the ENDE 2022-2026 should primarily achieve statistical coordination (technique and objectives), thus ensuring the production of priority statistics, coherence, consistency and relevance of these statistics.
