The Government today made official the implementation of the professional card in the areas of hotels, restaurants and tourism, aiming at a new model of governance in the professional training sector, to achieve the excellence of professionals within the framework of their development.
According to Inforpress, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, Olavo Correia, made a public presentation of this event at the Government Palace, during the symbolic delivery of the first professional cards in the sector, having praised international partnerships, especially cooperation Luxembourgish.
Implemented by the Professional Card Information System (SICP), this service will function as a management instrument, whose established law establishes the legal regime for accessing and exercising professions and professional activities, subject to the digital professional card, in the areas of hospitality, restoration and tourism.
The professional card now constitutes a necessary and indispensable condition for accessing and exercising the professions of pastry chef, waiter and bar worker, hotel receptionist, cook and tourist guide, which for the governor values professional training and guarantees rights to those who practice the profession, as well as promoting quality.
“ The challenge now is to move from tourism to all other areas of economic activity. Cape Verde can only aspire to be a tourist country and service provider if it focuses on quality. Betting on quality is betting on your professional portfolio ”, recommended the Minister of Finance.
According to the source mentioned, he highlighted that the acquisition of a professional card implies that contractors receive remuneration in line with the level of qualification, so that this instrument can effectively value people, young people, as Africa and Cape Verde’s main resource.
