Africa-Press – Cape verde. On September 30th, in São Vicente, the Government signed the Construction Consignment Deed for the construction of the new Monte Sossego Health Center, awarded to Empreitel Figueiredo, S.A., with an investment of 106 million escudos and a 10-month completion period.
According to the government today, the future health center aims to strengthen the provision of primary care and bring services closer to local communities, covering a population of over 22,000 in the areas of Monte Sossego, Monte, Craca, Atrás do Cemitério, Chã de Monte Sossego, Dji d’Sal, Campinho, Fonte Francês, Lazareto, and Ribeira de Vinha.
The same source states that the project includes a modern unit equipped with a general outpatient clinic, a maternal and child outpatient clinic, a sexual and reproductive health outpatient clinic, an adolescent outpatient clinic, a diagnostic and treatment support service, as well as administrative areas, a laundry room, and technical spaces.
The project is part of the national program for the construction, rehabilitation, expansion and equipment of health structures, which aims to consolidate and adapt the network to current and future needs.
