Government signs ragreement with PwC to create a center of excellence in the field of programming

Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Government signed on Tuesday a cooperation agreement with the consulting and auditing firm PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) to create a center of excellence for training young people in the field of programming.

The signing of the memorandum of understanding took place in the city of Praia during the presentation ceremony of the “Kode Verde” program, for the promotion of the digital transition.

At the time, the Secretary of State for Digital Economy, Pedro Lopes, clarified that the PWC, together with the Operational Center for the Information Society (NOSi) will train “talents”, in partnerships with the private sector, and put them at the service of companies.

The Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, who presided over this event closing ceremony, praised the signing of this agreement, “because digital innovation is a condition for growing and creating wealth.” Ulisses Correia e Silva argued that it is necessary to focus on young people and create capacities to transform them into global citizens and “without losing their cultures and nationalities”.
