Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Government is working to provide the Armed Forces with a Military Programming Law, and is just waiting for the survey to continue this mission.

This information was announced by the Minister of National Defense, Janine Lélis, during the swearing-in ceremony of the new National Director of Defense, Lieutenant Colonel Domingos Correia, and explained that Military Programming is to provide in a simplified and objective way the values, investments and equipment necessary, in the short, medium and long term so that the country is properly trained for full compliance with the national defense.

“We also have as mission the review of military justice, we held last year the first conference to reflect on this, after that and collected the contributions we created a commission that has been working so that we have a draft review in the near future”, said the Minister adding that the Government intends to still reformulate the Citizen Soldier programme.

The Minister stressed in its communication that these are the commitments translated into the Government’s programme and they are seen as goals to be achieved, by highlighting on the other hand, that for the promotion and reintegration of Cabo Verde is fundamental the cooperative security system on the sub-regional, regional and international scope.
