Africa-Press – Cape verde. M-Net (DStv 101) has confirmed to News24 that it will broadcast the eagerly awaited Suits: L.A. in early 2025, following NBC’s direct series order in the United States.
Suits: L.A. will debut on 23 February 2025 in the United States.
Gabriel Macht returns as Harvey Specter in a special 3-episode storyline.
Set in Los Angeles just like L.A. Law, Suits: L.A. will star Stephen Amell as Ted Black, alongside Josh McDermitt, Lex Scott Davis, Bryan Greenberg and Troy Winbush.
The only officially released summary of Suits: L.A. reads: “Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York, has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. His firm is at a crisis point, and to survive, he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career. Ted is surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives.”
Suits, which aired for nine successful seasons on M-Net, launched the careers of Patrick J. Adams, Meghan Markle, and Gabriel Macht. In 2015, Macht visited South Africa for a press tour and filmed a DStv commercial for MultiChoice and M-Net.
After being acquired globally by Netflix as a library series, Suits reached a much wider audience and is now accessible to local viewers on Netflix South Africa.
Aaron Korsh, the original creator of Suits, returns as both creator and showrunner for the exciting new spinoff.
Suits: L.A. marks Korsh’s second spinoff following Pearson, a single-season series that aired on M-Net. Pearson starred Gina Torres as Jessica Pearson, who relocated from New York City to Chicago.
