Africa-Press – Cape verde. South Santiago said on Wednesday that World Children’s Day calls for a deep reflection on their rights and duties and called for engagement in ensuring and safeguarding their rights.
The Delegate of the Cabo Verdean Institute of Children and Adolescents (ICCA), Justina Pina, launched this appeal in statements to Inforpress, on the margins of recreational and leisure activities with children and adolescents from the different ICCA structures of the City of Praia and other localities, promoted to celebrate the World Children’s Day, which is celebrated on June 1st.
“June 1st is a day for reflection, we must reflect a lot on children’s rights, but we also have to talk about their duties. But the issue of the violation of children’s rights appeals to us today for this reflection and we must take this reflection to every corner of our country to address children’s rights, parental responsibility and the responsibility of communities and civil society,” she said.
According to this responsible, the date should serve as another happy day and with joyful moments of peace and happiness provided to children, who, she recalled, will be men and women of tomorrow and future rulers of the country.
