Africa-Press – Cape verde. The President of the Board of Directors of the Institute for Quality and Intellectual Property Management (IGQPI), Ana Paula Spencer made this statement at the opening ceremony of the institution’s 10th anniversary which took place this Friday, 6th, in the city of Praia.
According to Ana Paula Spencer, this milestone not only symbolizes a decade of existence, but also a trajectory of overcoming challenges, notable achievements and above all the institution’s affirmation as a national reference and strategic foundation, for the sustainable development of Cape Verde.
“This celebration symbolizes our ongoing commitment to excellence, innovation and quality. It is an opportunity for us to reaffirm the values and principles that guide our mission, to reflect on the paths that will project a promising future for our institution”, he emphasizes.
For Ana Paula Spencer, since its creation, the institution has played a central role in building and strengthening the support infrastructure and the national intellectual property protection system, providing essential services to promote a cognitive environment and stimulate creativity.
“In fulfillment of its mission of coordinating public policies in the areas of intellectual property, IGQPI has established itself as a strategic institution on the national scene”, he mentions.
As I said, more than a response to current needs, IGQPI represents a strategic vision for the future.
“Since its founding, IGQPI has been a beacon of leadership and a catalyst for continued advancement in the domains of quality and intellectual property. Throughout this decade, IGQPI has not only maintained the highest quality standards, but also embraced innovation as a fundamental principle”, he indicates.
Ana Paula Spencer explained that there are several sectors in which IGQPI has worked for the country’s development. “We are going to the essential sectors, then, the economy, commerce, industry, health as well. It is extremely important for us to have these checks, for example at the health sector level, because, if we go and see, this impacts the diagnosis”.
The commemorative ceremony was presided over by the Minister of Industry, Commerce and Energy, Alexandre Monteiro, who highlighted that this tenth anniversary of IGQPI is a moment of celebration, but also of renewal of commitment.
“It is an opportunity to recognize the commitment of IGQPI professionals, whose daily dedication has been decisive for the success of this institution.
