Africa-Press – Cape verde. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) will support the Government’s reform and measures programme in the areas such as macroeconomic, exchange rate and price stability and the eradication of extreme poverty and the reduction of absolute poverty, the Prime Minister announced on Tuesday.
According to the Head of the Government, the IMF will support the reform programme, in accordance with the Executive priorities. Ulisses Correia e Silva made these considerations in the parliamentary debate at the plenary session of the National Assembly, adding that the economic recovery programme will continue to be implemented.
“(…) We manage crises, contingencies, mitigate, protect, but we also invest in the economy recovery, resilience and sustainability to reduce the vulnerabilities of the country in the face of external shocks”, said the Prime Minister, for whom Cabo Verdeans are aware of the seriousness of the moment in which the world and Cabo Verde live.
