The highest magistrate of the nation praised the importance of the continuity of the Week of the Republic, which is already in its 11th edition, the first under his presidency, claiming that the initiative conceived by Jorge Carlos Fonseca, his predecessor, deserves its continuation “because everything that is good, which creates conditions to make a pedagogy of citizenship is important”.
“We are continuing this Week and this year under the sign of the history of memory and culture, which are important pillars of this struggle of centuries, of Cabo Verdeans for freedom”, said José Maria Neves, for whom the continuity of this activity demonstrates the example, especially that institutions are extremely important.
