Africa-Press – Cape verde. The National Institute of Statistics (INE) is expected to start in July with the pilot survey for the 4th Household Expenditure and Revenue Survey (IV IDRF) to provides poverty indicators in Cabo Verde.

The information was announced today by the Vice President of INE, Fernando Rocha, in conversation with journalists in the framework of the launch, in the city of Praia, of the process for elaboration of the National Strategy for the Development of Statistics (ENDE) 2022-2026.

“We have already underway and we plan to start the pilot survey for the IR IDRF in July. It’s a big project,” he said, framing this operation as among the priority statistical operations on the statistical agenda for development from 2022 to 2026.

The IDRF is a household survey every five years to collect information to estimate the level and structure of household consumption and income, estimate indicators and determinants of poverty, and consumption in quantities of certain food.
