Africa-Press – Cape verde. Students and professors coming from Santo Antão to study and teach at Universidade Lusófona, in São Vicente, will have “a special discount” at Mar d’ Canal, when traveling.
According to the rector of Universidade Lusófona, Carlos Delgado, quoted by Inforpress, the discount is “a great deal” that will bring benefits to students in Santo Antão.
“From October, in the academic year that will begin, all students and teachers coming from Santo Antão to study and teach at Universidade Lusófona in São Vicente, will benefit from a special discount on the ship Mar de Canal, on the route Santo Antão – São Vicente and vice versa”, he clarified.
According to this source, the Universidade Lusófona, as soon as it has the lists of students from Santo Antão who will attend Lusófona, will deliver them to the agency that owns Mar d’ Canal “for the purposes” of a credential “with due special discounts” , he explained.
Reduction of tuition fees
Likewise, the Lusófona University has protocols with the municipalities of Santo Antão, which allow students from Porto to benefit from a reduction in tuition fees at this university, from the academic year 2022 – 23.
In the case of the municipality of Porto New, the tuition fee reduction varies between 10 and 50 percent (%) according to the number of students enrolled, that is, up to ten trainees, the reduction will be 10 %, from 11 to 25 students the reduction will be 25 %, from 26 to 45 students the reduction will be 40% and from 46 trainees the reduction will be 50%.
It should be noted that a mission from this university was recently in Santo Antão to publicize the training offers of this higher education institution, which has degrees in Communication Sciences, Accounting, Administration and Auditing, Law, Health Management, Business Management and Safety.
It also offers a master’s degree in Human Resource Management and Organizational Intervention.
