Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Minister of Infrastructure, Spatial Planning and Housing, Eunice Silva, arrives on the island of Fogo today to visit the works underway in the Fogo/Brava Region.
On Wednesday, the 28th, the government official has a meeting scheduled with the president of the Municipal Council of São Filipe, Nuías Silva, followed by a visit to the works under the management of Estrada de Cabo Verde, namely the asphalting of the roads in Vale dos Cavaleiros , Roundabout of the National Police Station passing through Cruz dos Passos to Largo de Enacol, Cruz dos Passos/Congresso and Largo de Enacol/Cobom/Congresso, including the rainwater drainage works that were introduced after the damage caused by the year’s rains past.
Also on Wednesday, Eunice Silva has scheduled a meeting with the mayor of Santa Catarina do Fogo, Alberto Nunes, before visiting the construction works on the Piorno/Campanas de Cima road.
On Thursday, before her trip to Brava Island, Eunice Silva visits the works under the management of Cape Verde Infrastructures in the city of São Filipe, namely the requalification of the historic center, including the intervention near the Pedro Monteiro Cardoso square that it also suffered “massive damage” from last year’s rains, according to the municipality.
The ongoing rehabilitation of the access section to Nossa Senhora da Conceição beach and under the management of Estradas de Cabo Verde will also be visited by the holder of the Infrastructure portfolio.
