Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Minister of Justice assured this afternoon that the Government is working with the Superior Councils in terms of reducing backlogs and procedural delays, in order to bring justice closer to citizens within a time horizon.
Joana Rosa gave this guarantee to the press, after a hearing at the Specialized Committee on Constitutional Affairs, Human Rights, Security and State Reform of Parliament, this Friday, having advanced that the Government is determined to give a new paradigm to Social reintegration.
This is due considering a problem to solve, through the availability of more social technicians, to work on humanization in prisons, and the mediation of conflicts in prisons. The official also enumerated the need to “have prison security agents as the first actor in the process of social reintegration, to work with the inmate within the prison, as well as in the post-fulfillment of sentence, so that the country can reap good results”
“It is essential to share, because in terms of justice, the legislative measures we have in place, from the outset the Inspection Law, the Magistrates Statute, the Organic Law, the Justice Information System, a new form of management, all of this deserves the approval of the Parliament so that we can have better results”, clarified Rosa.
