Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Minister of Justice asked for “some caution” in relation to the various professional classes that have demanded salary increases, justifying that there are no conditions, despite the Government being aware of the need for salary balance in the various sectors.
This reaction was made this Saturday, to journalists, after closing the first course “ Women Multipliers of Citizenship ”, promoted by ACLCVBG, within the scope of the “ Fla Sim pa Mudjer ” Project.
“ Therefore, there are several situations that the Government will be taking into account when working on the salary level and we are aware of the need for this balance in the various sectors ”, said the minister, recognizing salary distortions even within the judiciary itself.
According to him, they were careful to work on these situations and correct them, allowing salary competitiveness when changing classes, allowing the magistrate to also invest more and more in training, and reach the top of the judiciary.
He highlighted that for court magistrates this requirement dates back to 2011, since de-indexation, ensuring that they are working and believe that the National Assembly and the Government itself will be taking the proposal presented into good account.
As for court officials, he assured that the Statute is also currently being worked on, warning that they had a “ salary configuration ” with the approval of the statutes in 2017, so, in his opinion, there is no need to talk about a strike. .
“ We have had meetings with associations of bailiffs, I believe that there will be no need, nor any reason, for any strike or for any questioning from a salary point of view”, he maintained, adding that their salary table, compared to magistrates, it is not bad, and it will improve with the approval of the Statute.
Joana Rosa reinforced that the Government is aware of movements in various classes at the moment, which is why she asked for some caution, because, in her view, there are no conditions for salary increases for everyone, so the Government “has to do some programming, having taking into account the country’s budgetary framework ”.
