We have been working on a direct connection and a great rapprochement with the communities, which is why we have visited and met with communities in different countries”, he said, addressing a message of confidence to the Cape Verdean diaspora.
Cape Verde has been celebrating National Culture and Communities Day since 2005, to remember the patron saint of Cape Verdean culture, the poet, writer and journalist Eugénio Tavares, who was born on October 18, 1867 on the island of Brava.
Since then, the anniversary has been marked with various cultural activities, carried out nationally and in the diaspora.
