Africa-Press – Cape verde. The first of the two rescues occurred at 8:15 pm on Thursday, when 56 people, who were on board a vessel, were located approximately five kilometers southeast of Fuerteventura.

According to Lusa, this group was made up of two sub-Saharan men and 54 citizens from the Maghreb, including two women, authorities told the Spanish news agency EFE.

Another 46 people, North African and sub-Saharan, were later rescued, including two women, who were disembarked at dawn in Gran Tarajal, southeast of Fuerteventura.
