Africa-Press – Cape verde. The announcement of the acquisition of a plot of land in the town of Pai António for the construction of this educational infrastructure was made by the mayor, Fábio Vieira, on the chamber’s official page, highlighting that the land deal represents an investment of 4,500 contos.
The construction of the Zona Alta educational complex is part of the requalification program of the Mosteiros school park, which represents an investment of around 120 thousand contos.
For the construction of the complex, the city council will invest around 25 thousand contos, including the amount spent on acquiring the plot of land.
With the agreement signed between the council and the owner of the land, the city council will move forward with the implementation of the project, the execution of which is in partnership with the Luxembourg non-governmental organization Betebuerg Helleft.
Rehabilitation works are currently underway at the Ribeira do Ilhéu school, which represents an investment of close to 20 thousand contos, resulting from a tripartite effort by emigrants from Ribeira do Ilhéu estimated at 65 percent (%), Ministry of Education ( 25%) and the chamber with 10%.
