Africa-Press – Cape verde. The draft Code of Postures, the service charges and change on taxi fare will be analyzed at the next session of the Municipal Assembly of São Filipe, scheduled for the 22nd and 23rd.
The City Hall’s activities report 2021, the municipal regulation of toponymy and the establishment of the toponymy committee will aso be appreciated in that session, as well as matters of interest to the municipality, with intervention of elected and citizens to request information and clarifications.
With regard to the update of the taxi services fare, the City Hall, based on Decree-law no. 68/94 of 5 December, decided to take to the Municipal Assembly, taking into account the Taxi-Fogo Association proposal, due to successive increases in the price of fuel, expansion of the city and defense of the interests of owners and taxi drivers.
The proposal includes three categories, one within the city, including port and aerodrome, a second one for the localities in the countryside of the municipality (intra-municipal) and the third between São Filipe and the other two municipalities of the island, including the tourist service and transfer.
