Vulcânico, football champion of the island of Fogo, won, this afternoon, Saturday, 29th, Palmeira, champion team of the island of Sal, by 3-2, in a game counting for the second round of group B of the Championship Nacional, which was played at Estádio São Lourenço, Municipality of São Filipe, Fogo Island.
In the first half, Vulcânico lost by two balls to zero, but in the second half I managed to turn things around, scoring the three goals that gave them victory in the match.
In the other game of this group B, the Sanjoanenses, champion team of Santo Antão Sul, drew 1-1 with Belo Horizonte, champion of the island of São Nicolau, in a game of the second round played today, Saturday, 29th, at Estádio Di Deus, in the city of Ribeira Brava, island of São Nicolau.
Vulcânico leads the classification of group B with six points. It is, so far, the only one with only victories in the two rounds already held in the 2022-23 National Football Championship.
