Africa-Press – Cape verde. Cape Verde recorded another death by covid-19, in the municipality of Ribeira Brava, São Nicolau, and 315 new positive cases across the country, according to data from this Thursday’s epidemiological bulletin.
According to the same source, 876 samples were analyzed, resulting in 88 new cases in Praia, 94 in São Vicente, 30 in São Filipe, 18 in Ribeira Brava and 11 each in Santa Catarina and Santa Catarina do Fogo.
There are also ten cases in Mosteiros, nine in São Miguel and also in Tarrafal de São Nicolau, five in Boa Vista, four each in Maio, Porto Novo, Ribeira Grande de Santo Antão, Santa Cruz and São Domingos, three in Paul, two in Sal and in São Salvador do Mundo and one in Brava, São Lourenço dos Orgãos and Tarrafal.
The death, in turn, was registered in the municipality of Ribeira Brava, on the island of São Nicolau.
From this Thursday’s results, there are still 230 recovered, namely: Praia 119, Ribeira Grande de Santiago 3, Domingos 1, Santa Catarina 4, São Salvador do Mundo 1, São Miguel 1, Santa Cruz 9, São Lourenço dos Órgão 2, São Filipe 9, Monastery 2, Santa Catarina do Fogo 3, Brava 2, Ribeira Grande de Santo Antão 7, Porto Novo 5, São Vicente 38, Sal 4, Ribeira Brava 11, Boa Vista 5 and May 3.
The country now has 1201 active cases, 58885 recovered cases, 405 deaths, 43 deaths from other causes and 9 transferred, making a total of 60542 accumulated positive cases.
Health authorities continue to reinforce the call for joining the vaccination campaign underway in the country, as well as the use of face masks.
