The Non-Governmental Organization Broa Foundation, founded by two young Cape Verdeans living in the United States, delivered school kits to around 130 children in the Achadinha Pires neighborhood this weekend before the start of the school year. , in the city of Praia. Previously, it had also benefited 170 children from Ribeira das Pratas, in Tarrafal de Santiago. In total, 300 kits were delivered.
These social actions carried out by this organization are part of the “Djunta Mo” project, a way of helping children return to school.

According to Adilson Ramos, the NGO’s objective is to create “a bridge” between education and health and continue to bring together efforts and “good” people to help those who need it most and bring hope to communities and children, in a movement to combat school dropout and health promotion.
