Africa-Press – Cape verde. The National Police says it is “strongly organized” to fight crime at Christmas and at the end of the year. The operation plan will be known on the 20th, assured Eugénio Fernandes, deputy national director of the PN.

The information was given to Inforpress today by the Deputy National Director of the PN for the Operational Area, Eugénio Fernandes, who also acknowledged that crime, particularly in the city of Praia, has reached worrying levels.

He called for everyone’s collaboration on this issue, which he considers to be cross-cutting.

“In this festive season, the National Police will be strongly organized to maintain a presence on the streets, with the sole aim of preventing crime, controlling roads and keeping the movement of people safe”, said the official.

According to Eugénio Fernandes, the action plans of each operational service, namely regional commands, Maritime Police Command, Fiscal Guard Command and Special Units Command, will be known from the next 20th of December, with each service having freedom to talk about your plan for this period.

“We’ve always had a tough hand. It is up to each operational unit to be present more frequently wherever it is needed. No one will be in offices during this period, everyone will be on the street, taking care to pay attention to all possible issues that may arise, ”he guaranteed.
