Africa-Press – Cape verde. The deputy and candidate for president of the Movement for Democracy, Orlando Dias, will present, this Friday, the 6th, what he calls a New Political Charter to unite the MpD and the Cape Verdean nation.
In a statement released by the candidacy for leadership of the fan party, Dias promises a leadership with a driving vision of Cape Verdeans, aggregating a plural and organized party, decentralized and focused on modern politics.
The objective, as he says, is “to rescue the MpD and return the Party to the militants”, in a logic of defense of the republican culture, but also of a party with a future.
Breathing new life into democracy
For the country, he defends the need to “give new life to democracy”, namely through the Constitutional Revision, the fight against nepotism, clientism, friendship and cronyism.
Orlando Dias also supports the need for a fair and supportive society, “that guarantees employment, reduces wage differences and social inequality, while combating discrimination”.
Its New Political Charter, which intends to preserve the past, renew the present and face the future, will be presented this Friday, January 6th, in the city of Praia.
