Africa-Press – Cape verde. PAICV announced on Monday, that it will join the UCID to request Constitutional Court for review the resolution of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly that authorized the arrest of MP Amadeu Oliveira to consider its constitutionality.

This information was announced by the leader of the Parliamentary Group of the African Independence Party of Cabo Verde (PAICV), João Baptista Pereira, at a press conference on the balance of parliamentary days for the second parliamentary session this month, which will have as a highlight the debate with the Prime Minister on the security sector, proposed by PAICV.

“The PAICV parliamentary group decided to join a joint initiative with UCID and other Members of the MpD to request the Constitutional Court for the review of the resolution of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly that authorized the arrest of the MP out of flagrante delicto”, he said.
