However, he pointed out, this new reality brings challenges, not only for those elected, but also for the party. Therefore, PAICV decided to hold this conference, above all, to reflect the paths of local government and political performance in the region.

Carlos Tavares made this statement during the opening speech of the municipal conference under the motto “Affirming proximity, serving people”, whose objective is to strengthen articulation and cooperation between structures, give voice to those elected in the different municipal bodies, take stock achievements and looking ahead to the future.
