PAICV youth criticize transport operations for “conditioning” sporting activities

Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Youth of the African Party for the Independence of Cape Verde (JPAI) criticized this Saturday the operation of inter-island transport, claiming that it has “conditioned” sporting events in the archipelago.

In a press conference, the president of JPAI, Fidel Cardoso de Pina, considered that Cape Verde has faced setbacks in different areas in recent years and the transport sector has been one of the biggest “problems and failures”, with constraints in different directions. .

“Bad transport policy has been causing enormous disruption in the country, affecting the tranquility, ambition, economy as well as the daily lives of Cape Verdeans – a consequence of the failure of the governance of Ulisses Correia e Silva and the MpD in the field of transport in Cape Verde”, pointed out Fidel Cardoso.

Negative impacts that, according to the head of PAICV youth, have affected the sending of products and merchandise to the islands, generating “huge losses” for producers, traders and companies, also pointing to recurring situations of urgent need for medical evacuation.

The most recent problem, said Fidel Cardoso de Pina, has to do with the cancellation and postponement of games in the 1st round of the Cape Verde Cup, due to problems with air connections, “thus making it impossible for the teams to arrive in time at their respective sports regions”, lamented the national deputy.
