Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Palmeira team from Sal is set to begin its national title defense by facing Scorpion from Santiago Norte, according to the schedule released by the Cape Verdean Football Federation (FCF).
The match is scheduled for Saturday, the 25th, at 4:00 PM, at the Estádio 25 de Julho in Santa Cruz, located in the interior of Santiago Island.
On the same day, Académico do Sal takes on Benfica da Brava; Académica do Porto Novo faces Atlético de São Nicolau; and África Show hosts Cutelinho from the island of Fogo.
On Sunday, starting at 4:00 PM, Onze Unidos from Maio will host Mindelense, while Santo Crucifixo from Santo Antão Norte will face off against Boavista da Praia at the Estádio João Serra in Ponta do Sol.
The competition features 12 participating teams: the 10 regional champions, plus Palmeira (the defending champion) and Académico do Sal, who finished as runners-up in the Sal championship.
Just like last year, the 2025/2026 season will be contested using the UEFA Champions League format.
