Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Members of Parliament approve today the bill on the statutes of the Financial Reporting Committee presented today by the Government, which, according to members, is a consensual document.
The Financial Reporting Committee (CRF) is a central service integrated into the Ministry of Finance and its creation and subsequent regulation follows the policy recommendations included in the ROSC A&A Cape Verde-Report on the Observance of Standards and Codes of Accounting and Auditing in Cabo Verde.
The document prepared in 2012 is the result of a study initiated in 2011, a study which was similar to the one conducted in several other countries of the world under the auspices of World Bank.
This Report presents the findings on the accounting and audit situation in Cabo Verde and recommends policy measures including, inter alia, the need for basic national legislation on accounting and auditing, which would be common and reference to other legislation, in particular the Code of Commercial Enterprises and or the Code of Commercial Companies.
