Africa-Press – Cape verde. Parliament has scheduled for this Friday, 14, the discussion and vote on the Motion of Censure presented against the Government by the PAICV Parliamentary Group for the “lack of transparency in the management of the country’s public resources”.
In the six-page document, the first Motion of Censorship presented to the Government of Ulisses Correia e Silva, the PAICV writes that, “following the strong censorship registered in society, in constitutional and regimental terms, the Parliamentary Group of the PAICV, assuming the responsibilities that the people conferred on him to control and supervise the actions of the Executive, presents a motion of censure to the VIII Constitutional Government.
The Motion, made public on Tuesday, reads as follows: “The National Assembly deliberates, pursuant to article 201 of the Constitution, to censure the VIII Constitutional Government for repeated practices of lack of transparency in the management of public resources and for the attempt to hiding illegalities, covering up those responsible and protecting a minister who betrayed his commitments to respect and comply with the Magna Carta”.
The tambarina bench recalls that “this Government has assumed the commitment to provide the country with a new model of State. A State capable of creating a political, economic, social and institutional environment that promotes inclusive economic development, promoting a new Cape Verde”:
