Africa-Press – Cape verde. National deputies return to parliament from the 22nd to the 24th of this month, for the second session of November, which will be marked by a discussion on the 2024 State Budget and a debate with the prime minister.
According to a press release from parliament, part of the draft agenda is the discussion and approval of the Bill that approves the State Budget for the economic year 2024 in the specialty, and the discussion and approval of the Draft Resolution that approves the Private Budget of the National Assembly in the Specialty.
The debate with the Prime Minister is scheduled for the 24th, and addresses the topic proposed by the parliamentary group of the African Independence Party of Cape Verde (PAICV-opposition) on “Public policies and the protection of people.
The work agenda also includes the approval of a bill that establishes the bases of the municipal budget (discussion in the specialty and final global vote) and the approval of a draft resolution that amends Resolution nº17/X/2021 of 13 October, which creates Parliamentary Friendship Groups.
The State Budget for 2024 has an exact value of 85,948,752,206 escudos, and its main pillars are the search for economic stability, the promotion of reforms and investments to create jobs and the commitment to protecting the most vulnerable, aiming for development sustainability and social cohesion in the country.
