Africa-Press – Cape verde. The international partners who were involved in the implementation of the “Platforms for Local Development and Objectives 20/30 in Cabo Verde” programme are available to support the Government in the implementation of the 2nd phase of the programme.
This guarantee was given today at the last meeting of the Steering Committee, held in Praia, which marked the closure of the programme financed by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and implemented by the Government, with UNDP technical support.
On the part of the Government of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, the Head of Business of the Luxembourg Government, Thomas Barbancey, considers the continuity of the programme to maximize the know-how available to be important.
“It seems important to us to ensure that training is maintained and the new employees continue to benefit from them. It is important, above all, that the knowledge generated be transmitted over time and the City Halls remain prepared to meet the needs of citizens”, he said.
