In a statement, the Civil Police reported that the operation was carried out in compliance with two search and seizure warrants issued by the Criminal Court of the Judiciary of the District of São Vicente, and was conducted in the presence of prosecutors from that district.
During the searches, 45 rocks of a whitish substance, weighing 1.84 g, were seized. Tests confirmed the presence of cocaine. A package containing 0.24 g of cannabis was also seized, along with a small amount of money in escudos.
The detainees, aged between 30 and 40, were presented to the competent judicial authorities for their first judicial interrogation. The Court of the District of São Vicente ordered the preventive detention of one of the male detainees and periodic reporting to the authorities, as well as a prohibition on contact between the other detainees.
