Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Santo Antão Agricultural Products Fair, FEPASA, is back after a two-year stoppage due to COVID-19. The 16th edition of the fair takes place on June 17, 18, 19, as a way of kick-starting the activities of São João Baptista, in Porto Novo.
It is a space for disseminating the potential of the rural environment and valuing the diversity and quality of agricultural products made in Santo Antão. Farmers and artisans from all over the island have the opportunity to display liqueur products, traditional sweets, jams and arts.
FEPASA, according to the Municipality of Porto Novo, has revealed the importance of traditional agriculture, for the balance of the environment and preservation of the cultural heritage of the communities.
In addition to the exhibition, the fair hosts other cultural activities such as kola son jon , drummer groups, film screenings, among other activities.
