Africa-Press – Cape verde. Marítimo suffered a new defeat, this Friday, against Inter by 2-1, in the dispute for the Porto Novo Cup. This is the second consecutive defeat of the club that returned to official competitions in Porto Novo, Santo Antão, after four seasons of absence.
On the first day, the Verdes-Rublos, a club already in existence for about 40 years, had suffered a defeat against Tarrafal Futebol Club (3-4) in the game that marked the return to official competitions this season, after four seasons of absence.
The second round of the Porto Novo Cup continues this Saturday, with Sporting hosting Académica and Tarrafal, holder of the trophy, facing Sanjoanenses.
The first phase of the Porto Novo Cup runs until the 17th of December, followed by the semi-finals, which take place on the 11th of February, with the final scheduled for the 25th of March.
