Africa-Press – Cape verde. Seventh-year student Hevelyn Santos, 13, won the reading festival for the second time in a row this Friday. The initiative was carried out by the Escola do Alto Peixinho, Francisco Amaral.
In second place was Elaine Graça, also 13 years old, seventh grade, while Rânia Monteiro, also 13 years old, and seventh grade, won third place.
According to the organization, the reading festival, which is in its second edition, aims to encourage and awaken in students the habit of reading so that they can develop other skills.
This event, which had 12 competitors, was attended by the mayor of Porto Novo, Aníbal Fonseca, and the President of the Republic, José Maria Neves.
