Africa-Press – Cape verde. Porto Novo, Cape Verdean city “Capital of Youth 2023”, hosts, today, 12, and tomorrow, 13, the celebrations of the International Youth Day. The program highlights an open conversation with the Deputy Prime Minister, Olavo Correia.
The open conversation called “Voz Ativa”, with the presence of the Deputy Prime Minister, Olavo Correia, takes place today at 5 pm, at the Art Resort hotel, in the city of Porto Novo.
In addition to the open conversation, the organization will develop other actions to promote the green economy in Cape Verde, awareness actions on environmental sustainability, exhibition of agricultural products and visit to the young entrepreneur in the agricultural sector.
Role of young people in the green transition
International Youth Day is celebrated under the motto “Green Skills for Youth towards a Sustainable World.
The aim is to raise awareness of green skills and their relevance to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), highlighting the central role of young people in the green transition.
Another objective is to demonstrate policies and practices that can stimulate the development of ecological skills among young people and increase their commitment to actions for the country’s development.
