Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Mayor of Porto Novo, Aníbal Fonseca, is continuing his mission to Europe and has taken the opportunity to sensitise the emigrant communities to support the project of building the mother church of this municipality.
The Porto Novo mayor, quoted in a press release from the local authority, has taken advantage of his status as an “ambassador of goodwill” in the context of the construction of the new church, to ask emigrants to embrace this project, which is “a cause of the municipality of Porto Novo”.
Aníbal Fonseca was in Luxembourg and the Netherlands (Holland), a visit scheduled with meetings with the authorities of these countries and meetings with emigrants from Porto Novo living in these countries.
In Luxembourg, the mayor, among many initiatives, signed a cooperation protocol with the Northern Veterans Association, made up of emigrants based in that country.
