Africa-Press – Cape verde. The construction of the employment and professional training center in Porto Novo, Santo Antão, constitutes one of the “main projects” that will be implemented in this municipality in 2024, according to the municipal investment plan for the next one.
The document to which Inforpress had access indicates that feasibility studies for the employment and professional training center have already been carried out within the framework of Luxembourg Cooperation, ensuring that the infrastructure will be built next year.
The municipal investment plan for 2024 also states that professional training and qualification of young people constitute “one of the great challenges” of the municipality of Porto Novo, indicating that 87 young people have been trained by carrying out “many training courses” since 2022.
For next year, the municipality proposes to continue with the professional training of young people and build the employment and professional training center, and is also planning the creation of a professional training school, says the source of this newspaper.
