Porto Novo: Pascoal Alves and Bolona claim mobile network

Africa-Press – Cape verde. The communities of Planalto Norte, namely Pascoal Alves and Bolona, in Porto Novo, Santo Antão, claim access to the mobile network, in order to mitigate the effects of isolation.

In the case of the landlocked community of Pascoal Alves, residents have been insistently demanding a mobile network, as well as a road to unlock and access water for human consumption.

Also, the area of Bolona does not yet have a mobile network, a situation that has been worrying the residents of this village, which, according to the inhabitants, has been forgotten by the local and national authorities.

In addition to the lack of a mobile network, Bolona also claims electricity and drinking water.

However, during this month of August, the localities of Ribeira Fria and Ribeira dos Bodes, also within the municipality of Porto Novo, will have the mobile network, whose project is already underway, as part of a partnership between CV Telecom and the city council of Porto-Nove.
