Africa-Press – Cape verde. The semi-finals of the National Under-19 Men’s Handball Tournament take place today, in Porto Novo, Santo Antão, between Oderf vs Académica do Mindelo and Madrug’s vs Juventude.
The organization of this tournament, which began on September 8th, is in charge of the Grupo Desportivo, Recreativo e Cultural Madrugadores (Porto Novo) and included the participation of five teams from four islands, namely Madrugadores (Santo Antão), Oderf (Sal), Académica do Mindelo, Juventude (Fogo) and Renascer (Fogo).
The purpose of the event, according to the organization, is to boost national competitions at training levels in this modality and increase the level of competitiveness of the approximately 60 young people who participate in it.
This competition takes place within the scope of the national competitiveness program for participation in the Challenge Trophi 2024 international tournament, which will take place in Cape Verde.
