Africa-Press – Cape verde. The young people from Ribeira dos Bodes and Jorge Luís, in Porto Novo, Santo Antão, are once again demanding the construction of sports boards in their respective locations.
The youth of these localities are dissatisfied with the delay in implementing these sports projects, promised a few years ago.
In Ribeira dos Bodes, Jailson Lopes, spokesperson for young people, recalls that this is “a promise” made “a few years ago”, to local youth, by the Porto Novo City Council and the Government and guarantees that young people are unhappy with the delay.
There’s been waiting since 2017
In Jorge Luiz, the young people reminded Inforpress that, since 2017, they have been waiting for the construction of the sports plaque promised by the city council of Porto and the Government.
Jair Fernandes, spokesperson for the youth, also highlighted the fact that the construction of the sports board is, at the moment, one of the biggest concerns of the community of Jorge Luís.
Other villages in the interior of the municipality of Porto Novo have been constantly asking for the construction of sports boards, especially Casa de Meio and Planalto Norte.
