Africa-Press – Cape verde. Cape Verdean Portuguese winger Hernani has just signed with Rio Ave Futebol Clube, which plays in the first division of the Portuguese League. Hernani is back in Portuguese football, at a time when he was without a club.
As the Rio Ave website advances, the Cape Verdean Portuguese winger Hernâni, 30, has already joined his new teammates, performing his first training session this morning, at Estádio do Arcos.

As a senior he represented FC Porto, Vitória SC, Atlético CP and Mirandela.
While abroad he also played for Olympiacos (Greece), Levante (Spain), Al-Wehda (Saudi Arabia) and Las Palmas (Spain).
Rio Ave says that it is a “curriculum and experience that needs no introduction”, but where the presence in the Champions League and Spanish La Liga, for example, in addition to the collective titles won.
The contract signed for a season with Rio Ave, a northern club, comes when Hernâni was looking to return to Portugal, reserving the Club another season as an option.
