Africa-Press – Cape verde. The Documentary “Cesária Évora”, by Ana Sofia Fonseca, who was part of the “IndieMusic” program, won the Public Feature Film Award at the 19th edition of the IndieLisboa Film Festival, which took place in Lisbon.

The list of winners was released by the organization at the end of the event ended on Sunday night, the 8th, after the jury of the 19th edition of IndieLisboa, which was composed by Radio host Ricardo Mariano, visual artist and composer Diana Policarpo and multidisciplinary artist Francisca Salema, also known as Sallim.

The feature film “Cesária Évora”, directed between Portugal, France and Cabo Verde, is dedicated to the Cabo Verdean artist, also known as the “queen of bare feet”, who became one of the biggest names in world music, who died 10 years ago.
